In 2008 RicNic put on the classic Western "Calamity Jane". Featuring classics such as "Secret Love" and "The Deadwood Stage", the show was a great success. It was nominated for seven Curtain Call awards, including "Best actress in a youth production" for Daisy Nicholls' energetic and "whip crackin'" performance as the eponymous heroine. The show was described by one reviewer as having "great style and verve".
